West Clermont Concert Bands The West Clermont Instrumental Music program is proud to offer multiple concert band programs in 2017. Two even ensembles: Concert Band: Navy, and Concert Band: Silver. And one ensemble featuring the most advanced musicians in the district: Symphonic Band. All students in the district will be auditioned and placed in the ensemble that is most appropriate for their development. The concert bands meet daily during the school day throughout the year and consists of students grades 9-12. The primary focus of the concert band is to provide students with a quality music experience in which they are developing and refining instrument playing fundamentals and building ensemble playing skills. Students who participate in concert band are able to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities such as marching band, jazz band, pep band, and percussion ensemble. Prerequisite: middle school band experience or private lessons with teacher approval.
Symphonic Band Director: Brian Fischer The Symphonic Band is an auditioned group comprised of 10-12 grade students at West Clermont High School. Symphonic Band will perform the most challenging music available at four concerts, and other outside musical opportunities when they present themselves. Students in Symphonic Band are encouraged to take private lessons and participate in honor bands around the tri-state. Marching band is highly encouraged for all students in the West Clermont Bands.
Concert Navy / Concert Silver Director: Brian Fischer Both concert bands are populated by students in grade 9-12. Concert band will focus on refining instrument playing skills while performing the highest quality music literature available. The bands will perform three concert during the school year and OMEA adjudicated events. Marching band is highly encouraged for all students in the West Clermont Bands.
